Dash has his Leveling up Party, and Princess Lumpy reaches 3rd Level

Second Month of the Fifteenth Year brought SNOW!!!







Also, you can tell we got a new camera. What better subject matter to practice on than still life.

Epic was thrilled with the chance to run around in the snow and happy to let me take pictures of him.

We had a visitor it seems.

Well as it is the Second Month, however Dash didn't get to celebrate his leveling up to level 8 yet.

Time to have a Party Party!

The aftermath of the party, ponies down, family down.

After a long day of partying, time to sit down and relax and watch some Kabuki (Japanese Theater)

Bedtime and then back to regular life.

Princess Lumpy hits Level 3, and was super excited to get a Zombie!  She's different, we know.

This is the first time they've seen this movie, and it is one of the favorites of all adults present.

You cannot have a Princess Tea Party without Tea!

Now to just play a bit.

Taking pictures so we can order new glasses online since Grins managed to break both pairs.


The boys set out to bake their cakes for the Blue and Gold Banquet.  Theme?  Mad Scientists.

Hummingbyrd supervises, but does very little to actually make it.

Learning about measurements and the viscosity of oils.

They are each making a separate cake but a joint theme.

Skosh watches on intrigued.  Learning how to crack eggs.


The watched pot never boils...but does a watched oven never bake?

While waiting for it to cook, time to practice good cleaning skills.  Then on to frosting after it cools.

Dash builds the Scientific Computation device.  Both get to practice piping icing though.

Grins and Mama both learn how to make marshmallow fondant.


Neither is sure if it is working.  Dash joins to learn about making 's' and 'g' shaped brain coils.

It was approaching midnight at this point so pictures stopped for the night.

Announcing the three winners for this year's theme, Most Cub Scout like, Grossest, and Most Mad Scientist like.

They would have won both Grossest and Most Mad-Scientist if the judges had known it was two kids.

Their brain cake was so gross and convincing nobody would touch it.

Mmmm, we may be a little European at this point.

Irish tea, grapes, English Clotted cream and strawberry jam on toast, served on Italian dishes.

Success!  We ousted the government and have taken over the hall.

Time for the long walk home and a well deserved night's rest.

 Thus we leave the Second Month and head into the Third...it will be a long month.
