Time Warp....or welcome to the Thirteenth Year

Ahoy!  It is in fact the Second Month of the Thirteenth year of the New Millenium  and I am still not able to update very often, but I thought "hey, ya know grandparent types may want to see pictures at least."  So I will just go along adding them as we go.  Updates on the minions and such, Dash and Grins are no longer going to the local school system starting this coming Monday we will be homeschooling exclusively, we are excited and nervous about this challenge. Here goes nothing.

Eleventh Month of the Twelfth Year.

Epic Jaster is looking more like an adult dog now, and he is finally learning things, love his gooney face.

Chubbly and Lumpy waited with me on one of several failed attempts to register to participate in the town run German course.  So much for that.  Why yes we do roast our chestnuts near an open fire (over it is messy.)

Epic destroyed a soccer ball, but fear not, helmet head was born out of this disaster.

Holiday party at Papa's work, tired Chubblers, and pictures taken along the bike route Papa rides to work.

That last picture is taken over the Main looking into Mainz.

Twelfth Month was filled with adventures with Granddad and Grandmom and will therefore receive it's own post,  so onward to....Month One, Thirteenth Year:
Christmas Presents purchased after the season for better prices, Papa got a Scabbard for his museum quality Glamdring.  Chubbly and I had fun Knighting him with it before the guys took it back to discuss if the runes written on it were in deed accurate and true to the story, which was much fun to listen to.

Princess Lumpy used her money to get a larger musical hedgehog like her favorite one in the car, and a few random other toys, Grins and Dash spent most of their money on Skylanders figures and Slinkies.  Chubbly bought a chocolate scented Build-A-Bear snake.  Mmmm Socrates is delicious...and adorable.  Dash also got the full version of Star Wars Angry Birds and he and Grins were entertained for hours on end.  I personally was happy with a collection of Super Mario Toad figurines that represent my little minions perfectly, Green for D, Blue for G, Yellow for C and Red for L.

We have begun to work with a dog trainer to try and get Epic's dog issues under control, which translates to taking more hikes out on the trails.  Here are some pictures from one such hike where we enjoyed the winter Flora such as moss, Turkey Tail, and some strange sporing plant we couldn't identify. Oneironaut accompanies us whenever possible and is a delight to have around.

Pausing at the half way point to rest and explore a bit, Lumpy rode on our backs as did Chubbly at times.

A bit later in the month, Papa was amazing and bought me a brand new Anniversary edition Pfaff sewing and quilting machine.  I'm so excited to pick it up and use it.  We had to go down to Mainz to purchase it, so while we were there we wandered around the square.  The Gutenberg Museum wasn't open, but that's okay because the courtyard was beautiful after our snowstorm.

Princess Lumpy stayed warm inside my coat...even though my hand was freezing.  How sleds are used here...not on hills.

Dash turned 6 at the end of the month as well.  When I find the pictures from his birthday party I will post them too.  Well, Second Month has only just begun and as we gear toward Lumpy's first birthday and Papa's business trip next month, we are keeping busy.  For now I need to get the house clean since our really good friend Greycloud is coming to town next week.
