One of the Best Playgrounds in the World.

So rather than continue falling further and further behind while trying to catch up, it has been decided to post 'new' things once a month. So here we will take a big leap in the timeline and jump to the first month of the fifteenth year.

We headed over to the old Roman part of town one day.

This was because a bad snow storm from the North cancelled our Adventure we had planned.  It was decided we must go see the 'amazing playground' that was supposedly in our own backyard.

Wait, it's by this dead dude?

Ahhh, here it is.  Commence hours of climbing, hopping, sliding, swinging, digging, etc fun.

Everyone up!

Come on Skoshi, we've got this.

Dash brings new meaning to feeling like you are just running in circles.

Lump heads to a higher vantage point.

Dash and Grins are awaiting her.

Hey good looking!

Wow Grins!

And a one-a, a two-a, a three-a.

We're not sure Grins is doing this right, but we'll follow him anyway.

Princess Lumpy:"You're almost there Mama!  You can do it!"
"Hmm, might need to go get them and help them down."

"Dash help me get Skoshi and Mama down.  Grins is busy meditating on the problem."

"There you are Mama, you can get down like this, just follow me and Chubbly."
Chubbly: "Climb up here, and then slide down over here.  Look I'll show you."

Skoshi, we did it!  Thank you Chubbly, thank you Lumpy.

We completed the whole circuit.

Time for some well deserved sandbox play while the others go back around again.

Our Minio....ermonkeys.

The view from below.

And the view from above.

What are they doing up there?!?

Time for some sisterly snuggles.

Grins practices some geology.

Time to let Hickory give it a whirl.

Explorer Dash.

The Big and the Littlest.

Treasure Hunter Chubbs.

Time to start wrapping up and head to the car before the Snowstorm really hits.

Just a relaxing time.

Sandcastle!

Awesome Papa!

How many minions can you stuff in an old Roman Empire doorway?

Five?

Snow!  Time to go warm up!

HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY!  Listen UP!

See this guy, he is gaining his very FIRST LEVEL!!!!!!!!!!!  Wake up little buddy.

Let there be cake!

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmm!

And now for his first round of loots.

One happy little camper.
Skoshi and his blanket, a year's difference in size.

Showing off their book pillows and Christmas pjs.

Chubbly was actually having a good time reading the words printed on the inside.

Skoshi and Lumpy were having a ball passing the puppy back and forth.

No idea where Dash was during this time, he also has a book.

The four participants in one shot.

Making homemade donuts and of course, eating the afterward.

Bedtime routines are different for each kid.  Skoshi needs Papa to sleep.

Getting ready for the day or night is always and adventure, and around here seems to involve being shirtless for a bit.

Showing off his new hair-do.

Skoshi, like most of the natives in this land, doesn't understand queue-ing.

He also doesn't understand the purpose of cribs, despite us lowering the bottom repeatedly.  In the end we gave up trying, he just prefers to sleep in the PnP.

And now for something completely different.  So after ten years the quilt on the master bed was literally fraying at the edges and coming apart at the seams.  So time for Hummingbyrd to sew.

First things first, need to figure out how to cut and sew all the pieces, you going to help Grins? Ok.

Well that's a start, we can go from here now, nothing like quilting without a pattern or plan. Yeehaw!

This seems to be fairly fitting for our personalities don't you think?

And just for scale for those of you who know how big our original quilt was, this is a major improvement in bed coverage for us.  Retirement time for the old one though.

Now to work on the backing.  Oh and this is not just the widest quilt Hummingbyrd has attempted,

It's the longest one too, as seen here with the extra long college twin quilt...and Skoshi.
Still need to sew all the backing pieces together and make the 'sandwich', but getting closer.

So, since the boys are taking ranks in Cub Scout, we should include some of their adventures.
Dash's Wolf Den got the opportunity to go see some fancy helicopters prior to their retirement.

The boys made sure to inspect every nook and cranny.

Okay time for some Q&A with our lovely host.

Dash really enjoyed being in the cockpit.

Time to go after thanking our hosts.

Dash gained his 8th Level this month, and as is fitting it was time to get new gear for his character.

Ta-da! It's a Link Dash!  To go with his hat from last year, the complete ensemble courtesy of Maber.

Time to begin training in espionage, he also got a cool Mystery Secret Agent thing.

First task was figuring out the clues to actually unlock the box, everyone wanted to help.

Birthdays are exhausting, luckily for Skoshi he has Papa.  YEAH!

Modeling his Christmas jammies since he didn't have them on during picture time on Christmas.

Look who thinks he's a big kid, he carried his bowl to the table, climbed up and sat down like "This is where I'm supposed to sit.  Highchairs are for babies, I am not a baby."

Schooling from bed in our pajamas, because we can.  Then Princess Lumpy cut her hair the next day.
