Whoops, a bit too subtle.

So after a month of seeing if anyone really noticed and read stuff here.  We decided that, nope, not enough people do, or we hid it too well.  So time to be more direct.  Back in April the Storyteller sprung a plot twist on us.  We thought we had a full party with 5 Minions, turns out there was a secret character to be unlocked in this campaign.  If you want to see more proof and pictures as well as the reveal thingy you'll have to back up to the last post here. :)

So coming sometime at the end of this year/beginning of the next one the sixth and (unless the Storyteller is uber-sneaky) final Minion and party member will be making her appearance.  For now we're just happy 'Morph' is healthy.  Stay tuned to see how this unexpected plot twist affects the current story line.

The 'big brother' finally has enough hair for it to show up on camera.

"Waaaait...did you just say I'm not going to be the baby for much longer?!?...That is not cool."

Okay now back to normal updating.  So while we were at the nearby playground we were graced with a whole bunch of Hummingbird Hawk Moths.

There are no Hummingbird's native to the entire eastern hemisphere, the closest thing they have are these things.  They are so similar to the birds that we actually did a double take when they zoomed by with the stereotypical buzzing noise that hummingbirds make.

Now they weren't the only pollinators to display their beauty for us.

The butterflies were gorgeous as well.

See how much they look like the bird?

Hanging out under the bushes watching the fauna.

Inspecting the flowers.

Hickory loves our High Adventures...even when they are just local.

Hummingbyrd does too though.

Exploring and learning about nature.

Yes, two of the boys broke their glasses over the last month, their new ones were in the mail at this point, but hey it's all four male Minions in one shot.

Princess Lumpy, ruler of the butterfly net.

Why yes I could use a haircut, I love being scruffy.

Stuck in a bucket.

Trying to be a big boy.

Okay Mama, I might be a bit small still for that.  Can I sit on your lap instead?

Saying farewell to some close friends.

Picnic with the other mercenaries.

Getting faces painted at a festival about 2 hours from home.

Lumpy...now that's a face girl.

The Back-to-School party for the homeschooling group here.  Mmm donuts.

Always fun to get together with all our school friends.

Time for an annual picture at the rock.

Reading is a very important part of our days.  Now it isn't just Dash that reads constantly.

Yes, there are no pictures, but he doesn't need them anymore. :)

So part of the last moon's adventures included learning how to make Ingera/Engera from a friend of ours who hails from the region it originated in.  This is a fun, messy, and several day process.  Hickory was charged with learning the steps as Hummingbyrd knows she has amnesia when pregnant.

He made the 'dough' and then the next day cooked up the bread.  Mmm, not bad for a first try.

Hummingbyrd worked on learning how to make the curried potato/carrots and spicy chicken dishes.

The finished product.

Everyone enjoying the fruits of our labors.  Mmm, no utensils besides your fingers needed.

The minions were happy to help in the taste testing.

Thank you most amazing party cook for learning a new dish for us to enjoy. :)

Time for playing with the Photobooth on the Ipad.

Okay, back to reality.  Hummingbyrd finished the back of Hickory's new quilt for their bed.
So now to send it off to get finished before it gets too much colder here.

Well that pretty much sums up this last month.  Next month has some major trips planned, so I believe we'll have to get the beginning part of the month up prior to that trip.  For now, thank you to all of you that read the last post and maintained secrecy with us while we tested this.  You can now post all you want on Facebook about Morph's impending arrival.  Love you all.
~Hummingbyrd out.
