Tenth Year, Fifth Month

First let's look at some pictures from Williamsburg from Lady Marine's point of view.

Aren't these signs adorable?

Time to get Hummingbyrd's hair back to normal.

Trying out the new and soon to be very well used raincoats and boots.

Grins being amazing.

Antique sewing machines are awesome.

POOL TIME!!

Papa with Minions and friends.

Modeling new spring attire.

MULBERRIES!!!

Playground lunch date.

Play some, then take a break for lunch.  The Minions had to finish lunch to go back to playing.

Grins was eager to return to playtime so he finished quickly.  Dash...well not so much.

Freedom!  Well for Grins at least.

Phew...it's exhausting just to watch.
Grins comes back to check on Dash's progress.  He finishes just in time for our nature walk.

Spring means babies...baby turtles, goslings, people.

So many goslings.

Time to go look out at the picturesque lake.

And discuss the toxicity of the fish, the pollution level of the water, and the dead fish.
Look floaties, now time to head back...ooo look a duck!  He seems out of place with all the geese.

Pause for a photo then learn how to blow a dandelion fluffy.
We know how to spread weeds with the best of them.

GO Dash GO!
Home again after a successful afternoon out.

Naptime, and then time to try and catch the rainbows in the kitchen.

After all of that time for a drink.

Ready for a round of Smoosh-Face.

What? You've never played Smoosh-Face?!?

Dash and Lady Marine demonstrate, Grins and Mama try to replicate and fail.

Silly Mama.

Bedtime snuggles.  "Mama can Lady Marine sleep with us?"

She can snuggle for a bit.

More fun times around the house.

Some cooking and cleaning.  Steam cleaned carpets are the best to lie on.

Time for some Grins and Lady Marine shenanigans

Yes we are awesome.

It's our Anniversary of becoming a party so what better way to celebrate than to go to a museum.

Off to a Cryptologic Museum...this is going to be AWESOME....cannot wait to learn about...Planes?

Yep, first part of the museum was a cool old spy plane thingy.  Or something.

Hickory and Hummingbyrd found this stuff to be very interesting...the kids well, maybe not as much.

So much history about code breaking and fun old-timey espionage stuff.

Hickory decided that his initial proposal to become a party had been lacking, so he opted for a 'do-over' in front of the Rosetta Stone replica...yep he rocks.  Of course Hummingbyrd was still for it.

We should probably head home soon, but this was a very very fun Anniversary trip.

Wonder what museum we should hit up five years from now.

After living with us for a month we had to finally let Lady Marine go home.

Ahoy thar Mama!  We be scaling the stairs.

Don't be silly Dash, we're Colonial Americans, sheeesh.

Playtime at "Robbie's Church."

Spring is beautiful.

Discussing this fact.

"Roar!!! Look how big and tough I am!"

Delicious lunchtime.

Dragons and Dancing.

Granddad and Grandmom come to visit and are given silly gifts wrapped in inaccurate coverings.

The kids did not get the Smurf jokes, but that's okay.

Time for more wild life around the house.

We have an Eastern King Snake.

He is apparently living on the mice in the shed.

Then there was the turtle that tried to move in.

We let him go back by the creek after taking some glamour shots with him.

The false strawberries that probably attracted the turtle.

So Five years into our Adventuring has brought us to this point.  Oh and a Brown Recluse.
