Spring in the City

Fourth Month

Tulip trees.

Monuments

And the Cherry Blossom Festival!!!!

Grins inspects the beauty up close.

All of us love the natural beauty of springtime flowers.

So do artists of all skill levels.

Other non-cherry blossom flowers.

Dash shows his love of books very early on as he tries to sneak away with these ones.

More blossoms around the Reflection Pool.

Ancient lantern from Nippon gifted to the City.

Some monuments are more impressive than others to us.

The pictures just don't do the reality of this place justice.

Dash does a great job encouraging Grins to use the facilities.

And life just got more challenging.

Dash rounds up his own armor set.

Time for story time with Papa.

Pop-Pop and Aunt Jaz come to visit.

Aunt Jaz, a random NPC and Dash.
We had a great time with Pop-Pop, we'll miss him, but Grandma misses him more, we're sure.

Minion playtime and Mama snuggles.

Dash got really sick and needed lots of extra snuggles.  Poor Bug.

Time to hang out on the couch.

Fifth Month

Aunt Jaz is promoted to Master of her trade.
Hanging out with Companions and NPCs at their place of learning.

Minion escapades continue.

Dash tries to send himself to Granddad and Grandmom's house.

Exploring the Fauna of the garden.

We ensured the caterpillars were returned to the appropriate plants so that they could thrive.

We also looked at the less cute and cuddly varieties of Fauna and explained the reason we don't touch spiders.  Exhibit A: Wolf Spider.

Late in the month we headed south with members of our church to go boating.  So fun, miss them.

Mother's Day relaxation.

Springtime pictures.

Time to go back to the Zoo.

Random Bobbi on the train, and story time.

Poor Sunlit, her house was stolen and turned into a playhouse.

Grins and Sunlit have a unique relationship.

The stairs no longer pose a problem for either Minion.

Jam session with Papa, then nap time.

The local flora tried to take over the Dragon while he slept.

Sixth Month

Udvar-Hazy and Cornerstone playground.

Dart shows Grins the amazing thing that is sand.

At first Grins thinks this is cool...then learns you should not throw sand upwind.

Fun around the house.

Grins celebrates surviving his first solar circuit.

Hummingbyrd changes her plumage.

Visitors!

Getting weird at the Natural History Museum.

Why stop there though for weirdness, there is so much to see here.

We love Butterfly Houses, so expect that anytime we visit one, you will see lots of seemingly the same pictures after we go.  Case in point, this trip.

Lord Hickory Painting the replacement fences we would install to make a better backyard.

It was a sad day in Lord Hickory's life, the frying pan he received from Lady Hummingbyrd a few weeks after they met, finally bit the dust.   The handle fell off.  Well it served him faithfully for 8yrs.

Cthulhu and Grins, Papa and Grins, and finally Grins and the Dragon.

The Dragon took the boys for a quick flight around.

And with bubbles and oatmeal we bid Spring Adieu and move onto Summer and possibly even Autumn of this year.  We will see.
